Hello

And to my two online friends in both countries
Salam!
And
سلام!

I just said hello in ten languages, I am multilingual!! I lied, I lied about being multilingual, and I am sorry. Credit goes to the internet, without it everything would be as it was before internet existed, there would only be a huge number of young people suicides because they can’t live without twitting or tweeting. I can and that is why I stand out against all the other young ones, and that is why there is a minority of smart young people who are overshadowed by stupid, reality show watching OMG’ing young people. To those of you who are young and hate what this generation has become, Clap clap clap, I tip my hat towards you.
Just a reminder the next coming weekend, I will not be here for two whole weeks so I’m going to be out and ‘Junette’ seems to be awol somewhere, I don’t know if she’s finished with her material (WHICH I VOWED NEVER TO SHARE ON THE BLOG OR ANYWHERE ELSE!), it’s a secret. So don’t expect anything new after this coming weekend, nothing new on the site, nor on facebook, nor on our Tumblr page.

So, I’m a bit of a comic book nut, if you follow ‘Blcktime E-Press’ on Tumblr, I do this little thing in there I call ‘Comic Porn’ where I showcase a title and give my thoughts about it, it’s the bibliophile equivalent of watching nudes. Anyhow, I always talk about ‘Sandman’ (Neil Gaiman’s suido remake of Jack Kirby’s superhero) and I’m pretty sure I annoy the living crap out of people when I mention Neil or Dream. Two months ago ‘DC Vertigo’ released Neil’s comeback to the dreaming titled ‘Sandman: Overture’ and the first issue was not a disappointment. Despite the first issue having a low page count since half of the pages are littered with ads for other DC comics titles (like we aren’t aware that DC published other works) so the issue is a short read. It is printed in glossy magazine paper and the story does not kick in until the end of the issue. This has been hyped around Vertigo’s facebook and twitter to where it was unavoidable. Guess what? The second will not be in comic shops until ‘February’ so we have to wait a month and a half to see what else happens. I’m not upset with this sudden ‘Prequelish’ story to the sandman, but Vertigo should have planned this better. What I’m hoping is less ads, more story and maybe lower the price of the issue, Five bucks is too much for an issue.

Hey guess what I found out? The blacktime website has a small indicator below entrires which show how many likes each post has. I am an idiot, really am, I doubt math dyslexia exists which only means (A) Scientists need to delve into investigating math dyslexia and (B) I am blind as a bat. All this time I was posting stuff and relying on ‘Google Analytics’ to see how many people go to my site daily, but it doesn’t show what people read on my site or rather if the audience likes what the read. Also I got a comment from a post that was written a long time ago, which also raises the question ‘Why was I not informed on receiving a comment?’ Weebly, you have some explaining to do!!
The comment was from some guy (or girl, not sure) named ‘WESU’ and it was about a fan made profile picture someone sent us a long time ago, so it’s nothing that big. To whoever WESU is, I thank you for sending us a comment. So this blacktime page has some fans, neiche fans none the less but fans nonetheless.
Maybe someday I’ll go in-depth in why I started this page and the ‘behind the scenes’ of all of what I do, especially my ‘Psycho Pancake’ strips. Just to let everyone know, the ‘Adventures in Pancakes’ strip I did recently, the first annual issue, was the hardest, longest thing I have ever done and every year I’ll do one because I love to expand things.

I’m not going to be here Christmas day, so let’s do the top 10 Christmas films, brought to you by WTOP.com, because WBOTTOM is too low class.
Okay, I have to apoligize, that was the worst joke I’ve ever made, that was crappy and I promise it will never happen again (but then at times I can’t keep a promise so expect more cheesey, terrible jokes.)

TOP 12 FILMS OF CHRISTMAS!!

#12. Frosty The Snowman (1969): That’s a classic, but remember that terrible movie ‘Jack Frost’, that film freaked the shit out of me as a kid, and this is the family friendly one, not the horror film. I still need to see that.

#11. Elf (2003): It’s an adorable film, really it is. I like this film, it has that charm to it but in my opinion it goes downhill when Santa crash lands in ‘Central Park’ and Santa explains why his ship has no feul “Because not everyone has enough Christmas spirit to make the sled work.”  But I enjoy Buddy the Elf’s antics, as well as Robert Duvall as this soulless publisher. It’s a nice film.

#10. Home Alone (1990): Just today I saw a picture in Tumblr featuring a bit of the original ‘Home Alone’ script. Remember when Macaulay Culkin shoots a BB at Joe Peci’s nuts? In the original script, Culkin was meant to shoot a real gun at his nuts, therefore scaring Bruce Dern’s character and ending the film at the 20minute mark. FAMILY FRIENDLY COMEDY!!!!!

#9. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966): Oh that’s always enjoyable, love it.

#8. Miracle on 34th Street (1947): Does ‘Macys’(for our international readers, it’s a department store) still exist or are they bankrupt?

#7. Charlie Brown Christmas (1965): MERRY CHRISTMAS CHARLEH BROWN!!!

#6. Rudolph the red nose reindeer (1964): It’s a good film but…I’m not trying to sound like a masochist but when the hell are we going to get to the movies that will grind my gears. I WANNA GET MAD! For some reason people like other people when they get mad.

#5. White Christmas (1954): Hwite Christmas. A movie soaked in it‘s title, that even the box cover says ‘No Coloreds Allowed’.

#4. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989): I loved ‘Vacation’ and ‘European Vacation’, I still need to see this.

#3. A Christmas Carol (1951): Not the CGI one, not the Muppet one, the 1951 one. This is aired so many times in the weird independent (often times religious owned) television channels, it’s lost all it’s appeal.

#2. A Christmas Story (1983): DANM!!!! I should have saved my ‘No Colored’s Allowed’ stint for this one. This film takes place in the 50’s, and from what the older people have told me, this film captures 1950’s Christmas in America perfectly well. So this is a watch, it’s a good Christmas film and it appears in every list for must watch,

#1. It’s a Wonderfull Life (1946): Meh, that’s a film I never feel like seeing, along with ‘The Ten Commandments’. Too long, too soon.

Not impressed by my comments on any of these films? Neither am I, I don’t normally say much on good films because what can I say that hasn’t been said? Either way, I’m going to give you a double billing of the top # lists here. And this list is going to bring out the inner demon in me.

TOP 27 FILMS THAT NEED TO BE REMADE!!
Ba ba baum!!!!!

#27. Outland (1981): NO NONONONONONO!!!!!!!! This is a great film, a perfect gritty sci fi flick starring Sean Connery as this cop in a mining colony. This is a perfect flick, I recommend it to any of you who like that whole ‘Blade Runner’/ used up future kind of science fiction.

#26. Jason and the Argonauts (1963): According to the writer ‘Nathan Dittum’ (more like Nathan Douche bag), he wants it to be remade just because the miniature effects look cheesey. I’m calling him out, you sir don’t appreciate the majesty of original cinema and he needs to be schooled in real movie making.  Ray Harryhausen’s miniature effects kinda freaked me out as a kid (the movements looked creepy) but still amaze me today.

#25. The Changeling Man (1980): Haven’t seen it.

#24. Profondo Rosso (1975): No no no! Never remake Dario Argento’s works unless Dario Argento remakes his Dario Argento work. Dario Argento, Dario Argento.

#23. Dementia 13 (1963): I have not seen it.

#22. Ben (1972): Have not seen it but it’s about a boy who commands rats. If you consider ‘Willard’ a remake, then it’s been remade, starring ‘Crispin Fucking Glover’. It was a good movie.

#21.  Dune (1984): It’s been remade if you count the ‘Sci Fi Channel’s (or what is now know as Syphilis SyFy channel) version of the film a remake. Also ’Universal’ is planning on remaking it, not sure how it will turn out. I’ve not read the books but I like the 1984 film, but then I’m just a David Lynch fan boy here.

#20. Shivers (1975): A Cronenberg film that I’m sure no one wants remade.

#19. Night of the Living Dead (1968): No no nononononon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#18. God Told Me To (1976): God tells me I haven’t seen this film.

#17. Panic in the Year Zero (1962): Meh.

#16. Game of Death (1978): Although Bruce Lee is not in this film and the people who made this film disrespected a legend in order to make profit from a dead legend , I would like to see how this is remade. I’m pretty sure if Hollywood remakes this, I will regret those words.

#15. Fantastic Voyage (1966 ): I still need to see this.

#14. The Lost Weekend (1945): What now, is this going to focus on Alcoholism and bath salts?

#13. Night of the Coment (1984): I need to see this flcik.

#12. The Keep (1983) This film looks epic, a horror film set in World War II. Saweet. No remake!!!

#11. The Towering Inferno (1974): Will they cast ‘OJ Simpson’ in the remake?

#10. Alligator (1980): I remember not liking the sequel, remake the sequel.

#9. The Guns of Navarone (1961): Meh, I can take it or leave it.

#8. The League of Gentlemen (1960): In no way related to the Sean Connery  early 2000’s film based of the Alan More Comic Book.

#7. Slaughterhouse Five (1972): I have not seen it.

#6. Red Dawn (1984): THEY REMADE IT AND IT WAS COMPLETE CRAP!

#5. The Day of the Triffids (1962): I could care less.

#4. Nighthawks (1981): I love this movie, it’s an international thriller/ espionage/ cop film starring Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) as buddy cops. That movie is fun, keep it that way.

#3. Westworld (1973): I want to see this.

#2. Nineteen-Eighty-Four (1984): Funny story, I read the book but have not seen this film. The teacher assigned us this book, We laughed, we cried. Then the teacher decided ‘You’ve read the book. Fuck you, no movie.’ And I still have not seen this film, only that ‘Apple’ commercial done by Ridley Scott. Is that close enough?

#1. Duel (1971): I could care less if it’s remade, it’s an okay film but I wouldn’t be shocked if they remade It.

THE END!!!!!!
