-He Came Tumbling Over-

Agatha arises from her bed slowly enough not to keep from waking her husband. Her thin feet & legs moved slowly, rubbing against the white shag carpeting as to relax her tense feet. Looking at her silhouette in the mirror, she couldn’t see herself in clear detail, except for her bright white smile of hers. She then turned to see her husband, Berntworp, taking most of the space on the king sized bed.
“Relax now, my dear.” she whispers to his sleeping body. “For there is an imminent storm brewing.”
The stinging & burning on her back was too unbearable for her to get back to bed.

Paquel sat on his messy futon, thinking of what he had consumed earlier.
‘Salomon Brooks is pushing heaven & earth, just to get me.’
That wasn’t the only thing that was itching his mind.
‘I’ve got a date with the pot vendor tomorrow morning, I’m pretty sure that’s the highest New York standard,. It’s better than a messy slob, but how will I manage both the date & Solomon’s search party?….. Well, I‘ll just wait & see. Damn, can’t think of that now, too many topics, I feel like I can’t tend to them all, Agatha being back in my life, a group of gung ho bible skewers & a date with a girl. Can’t sleep, too much happening at once……Do you think Agatha still has at least one feeling for me? One iota of a feeling for me? I don’t know, I should move on. Wonder what‘s on TV.’

Sleepy eyed Pasquel sat facing Texie at an average fast food burger restaurant, it was her choice.
“Don’t you love the burgers here at Burger Farm?” asked Texie as she munched on her burger.
Pasquel watched his burger wiggle, almost as if it was a living creature. “I’m allergic to fake food. You can have it.”
“Aw, really. Oh well.” Texie then continued to munch on her burger, burping loudly, letting the green & white sauces drip onto her wrinkled ‘Disneyland’ sweater.
“Um, Texie, you got a little something..” Pasquel saw that she wasn’t listening. “Never mind.”
Pasquel sat quietly & endured the unsettling view; he decided to take off his Technicolor trench coat since he knew he was going to be here for a while.
“So Texie, you ever visited a farm? One with funny animals &…”
In a frightful manner Texie rose from her seat & gave a strange look, her face nearly turned pink, then cherry red.
‘Oh god, what’s wrong with her?’
Not being able to say a single word or take a single breath, Texie began pointing at her own throat.
“Well, it’ll happens when you eat like a wood chipper.” said Pasquel unenthusiastically.
Pasquel began to wrap his arms around her & pushed his palms on her belly. Texie gave her biggest cough, the chewed chunk of food escaped her throat & landed on Pasquel’s trench coat, staining it‘s specialized silk.
“Thanks Paskie, I knew a boo like would come in handy.” Texie then turned her head to see the chunk of burger vomit on his trench coat. “You gonna eat that? I’m kidding. Gimmie a kiss.” She lunged her lips at Pasquel as it still contained the fragments of chewed bread & meat.
“I’m sorry, I have to leave, the family cow is having a baby. It’s a family farm thing, goodbye.” and so Pasquel grabbed his coat & left the restaurant.

He walks along the silent streets holding his coat, trying to get his mind clear.
“Hey Pasquel!!” Shouted Agatha from behind. She was driving a baby blue hybrid car & stopped right next to Pasquel. “Get in, I’ll drive you.”
“Nah, I’m good.” replied Pasquel, that was until the skies’ grey clouds began to form quickly & poured it’s gallons of rain onto Pasquel’s head. He entered the car & sat on the back seat, like he would on a taxi cab.
“Why don’t you sit next to me, I don’t bite.”
Pasquel left his coat on the back seat.
“What’s that smell?” she asked.
“I‘ll tell you later.” he responded emotionless.

“Listen Pasquel, I got you some more info on what you’re up against. You remember the Celestine war?” asked.
“Who doesn’t remember the C-War? Fighting for blue rocks.  What does this have to do with Salomon?”
“Do you also remember Lethal Aqua?”
“A team of eight, pillaged a bunch of South American & Indonesian villages just for kicks. Please don’t tell me these guys are looking for me.”
“………. These guys are on the Colony payroll.”
“’Sigh’. I’ll be having a full on surveillance team behind me from now on.”
“Cheer up Pasquel, here’s the golden egg. Other colonies are waking up & smelling the roses. You have created 200 tiny little revolutions since your escape was known about through word of mouth & it wouldn‘t of happened if it weren‘t for you.”
“Is the national media covering this right now?”
“The media, they could have a nail shoved into their eye socket & still report on useless things. I’ll drive to your place & we could talk a little more about this.”
“You sure? Then turn left here.”

Pasquel’s apartment room was a little more cleaner than the last time Agatha visited.
“ I do miss the messiness of it all. You didn’t have to go to extremes to clean your room for me.” said Agatha sympathetically.
“Oh believe me, it was no hassle.” replied Pasquel with clear sincerity.  “Cleaning is relaxing, gives me time to think, I‘d kill to be a butler. I swear to you I must have been a butler or a maid to an illustrious family in my past life. Coffee?”
“None thank you, I just came from the café. So Pasquel, do you think you can at least take on one of these mercenaries?”
“I hope I can.”
“I have their map markings here, the highlighted areas are the territories are where they sent these men to search for you. I’m sure you’ll be able to take those guys out.”
“What kind of weaponry do these Lethal Aqua guys have?”
“Whatever they’ve got, this can range from heat sensing sniper rifles, bayonet launchers, electric rods, pretty much any weapon they have disassembled, assembled, used & perfected.”
“Well, this means I must step up my game.” replied Pasquel with some worry in his voice.
“Don’t hurt yourself in the process, these guys will find your weak spots and take you out quicker when you’re vulnerable.”
“I know how it works.”

Soldiers are the top of the food chain in the free city, just like the Lord‘s subordinates in the colony.  Pasquel always had a vile hatred of corrupt superiors, his dad was part of the ‘Lord’s Subordinates’ coalition in the colony, he had it in for Pasquel’s mom & through force & easily taking advantage of one’s vulnerability was how Pasquel conceived.

Agatha exits the apartment complex as she plants a kiss onto Pasquel’s forehead, little did they not know that someone inside a jeep was watching them from a distance, beathing heavily & shaking in anger.
“Oh Pasquel, you have such a cute face” she pulls his cheek a little. “I’ll see you later.”
As Agatha crossed the street to her Hybrid, the jeep drove away unnoticed.

“So Pasquel, tell me about this ‘Texie’ girl you’ve been seeing.” asked Mr. Spinelli as he ate his steak dinner.
“Disgusting. How can a cute looking girl eat like a pig without lungs?”
“Well, a pig without lungs can’t waste air. That’s a ‘Pro’ for when you’re trapped in an air tight room with her & only have enough oxygen for one.”
“I mean, she ate like a slob, a disgusting, ill-mannered slob. My favorite trench coat is at the dry-cleaners, all because she wouldn’t chew her food like a decent person!!! I‘m sorry, it‘s just, ugh!!!” Pasquel slammed his fist onto the mahogany desk.
“Easy with the desk, I spent alot on it. There better not be a scratch or a dent on it.” replied Spinelli.
“ It was disgusting. My standards aren‘t that high, what‘s wrong with that? Eating politely isn’t that difficult of an action to accomplish.”
“Then how about going out with the one girl, what’s her name? Athena, something or other?”
“You mean Agatha.” replied Pasquel as he sat down on a hand carved chair & grabbed a green apple from a wicker basket on the left of him. “She’s married. Believe me, she’s that dream girl. Like I said before, she’s married, that boat had sailed and I missed the ticket.”
“Happens to all of us.”
“I might stay single, you know. I don’t want to deal with the drama of emotions, or become gay. Nah, I can never pull it off. Listen, Spinelli. I’m going to need you to order some special tools & items for me. Here’s the list.”
Spinelli opens the long list.
“That’s quite an order. What are you gonna do, fight an army?”
